USDA Aid For Food, Farm Workers

Help is on the way from the U.S. Department of Agriculture for those working as farmworkers, meatpacking workers, and front-line grocery workers in the form of $700 million in grants. That money will be distributed in amounts that will range from $5 million to $50 million via grants provided to state governments, tribal entities and nonprofit organizations, along with another $20 million set aside for grocery workers as part of a pilot program. Payments of payments of up to $600 will be distributed to farmworkers and meatpacking workers.
