In case you haven’t heard, it’s fall and the pumpkins and Halloween decor are starting to creep out.

But while you get ready for the spookiest night of the year, will it be safe since the country is still dealing with the coronavirus pandemic?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says yes, it will be if you and your ghosts and goblins take a few precautions.

Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the CDC’s director, said she believes that kids can go trick-or-treating as long as they stay outside, The Hill reported.

She made the announcement on CBS News during “Face the Nation.”

Walensky cautioned to limit crowds.

“I wouldn’t necessarily go to a crowded Halloween party, but I think that we should be able to let our kids go trick-or-treating in small groups,” Walenski said.

Because life is slowly getting back to normal this year after COVID-19 canceled many events last Halloween, the National Retail Federation said that it expects consumers to spend $10.14 billion, up from $8.05 billion last year.
