Goodyear blimp mistaken for UFO in New Jersey skies

NEW JERSEY — The truth is still out there, and it’s far less entertaining than reality.

A viral NSFW video making the social media rounds Monday had some residents convinced a genuine UFO had invaded New Jersey’s airspace, but Goodyear rather than aliens turned out to be the source of the comical hysteria.

Although people across Bergen, Passaic and Essex counties flooded social media platforms with their own video evidence of the suspected close encounter, NJ.com confirmed the object was a Goodyear blimp cruising above a New York Giants game at MetLife Stadium.

One profanity-laden tweet marveled not only at the “unidentified flying object” but at the incredulity it caused among his fellow motorists, pulling off the road and shooting their own videos, Fox News reported.
