Tampa International Airport experienced their busiest day in the history of the airport Sunday. An estimated 89,000 passengers traveled on Sunday. That compared to 2019, with some 87,000 passengers passing through the airport.

The Pinellas County Transit Authority (PSTA) continues to offer a free shuttle bus to and from Clearwater Beach. The buses will be available seven days a week from various locations. The PSTA Shuttle and Jolley Trolley are also included, with more information on which lots to catch the ride from. This runs through April 30th to help alleviate some of the spring break congestion.

A rough-toothed dolphin that arrived at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium a month ago for rehabilitation from an infection seems to be doing well. The CMA says the female dolphin and swimming on her own, but is hearing impaired so she cannot be released into the wild. The National Marine Fisheries Service will make the decision on what facility she will live. If you happen to see any marine mammal in distress, please call the trained responders at (877) WHALE-HELP.

The good news is that red tide is diminishing but there’s still some around. According to a story in the Tampa Bay Times, some Pinellas County beaches are still dealing with the toxic tide, and you can check the list that included Clearwater Beach, Sand Key and the Skyway Fishing Piers.
