St Pete City Council voted to ban plastic straws and styrofoam products at Thursday’s meeting. It will go into effect January 1st, 2020. A lot of businesses have already stopped using plastic straws when the No Straws St. Pete campaign began.

The Tampa Bay Rays deal for a move to Ybor City appears to be over. Rays President Matt Silverman said they ran out of time to make the deal. It now appears the Rays will stay at the Trop until their lease ends in 2027.
The Tampa Bay Bucs will play a game in Mexico City or London next season as part of the NFL’s international games. No dates have been announced but other NFL teams participating include Jacksonville, Los Angeles Raiders and Rams and Oakland.
