New Bill To Make Animal Cruelty Federal Crime

Two Florida Congressmen are sponsoring a bill that would make animal cruelty a federal crime. The Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act, or PACT,  is being proposed by Sarasota’s Rep. Vern Buchanan and Rep. Ted Deutch from Broward county and parts of Palm Beach. The maximum sentence would be seven years.

Saturday’s Gasparilla invasion left a lot of leftover trash.
