No, I haven’t completely lost track of time. But I am in the holiday spirit because “Christmas in July” for St Joseph Children’s Hospital is now a virtual donation drive. We’re usually out in front of the hospital joined by so many of you dropping off toys and cash. But that just can’t happen thanks to COVID-19. So we’re making it easy for you to help us make a stay in the hospital a little better for the kids at St Joe’s.
It doesn’t take much - that $25 dollar donation could buy that special toy to make them smile just a little bit more; $50 would help staying in bed actually fun with cool stuff to do right at their bedside; $100 could help create the best birthday EVER; and if you can spare $250 that can go along way toward helping the kids feel better with therapies like yoga, massage, art therapy and more. It takes very little to make a difference. It’s a first for the staff and St Joe’s and Hadley Trull joined me to talk about how they’re handling it.
I know what it’s like to be a in the hospital at a young age. I was just seven when an accident landed me in Marymount Hospital in Garfield Height, Ohio. That and subsequent follow-ups taught me just how much kids need a little distraction! Please make your contribution today, and from everyone at St Joseph Children’s Hospital, thank you.
