Cash for unemployed Floridians is supposed to start showing up this week. Governor Ron DeSantis said Tuesday any Floridian eligible for the $300 “lost wages” program is on the way, and you do not have to apply for the additional three weeks of benefits that cover the weeks of August 1st, 8th and 15th. Only three weeks pay have been approved but the Department of Economic Opportunity could okay more.

AstaZeneca has put a Phase 3 trial testing the COVID-19 vaccine on hold pending a review. One trial participant allegedly had a severe reaction, so the trial has been paused. No word on when it might resume. COVID numbers in Florida for Tuesday showed another 2,056 new cases, bringing the state total to 652,148. Florida resident deaths stand at 12,115. Publix turned 90 this year. The first store opened Septmber 6th in Winter Have in 1930. Founder George Jenkins opened that first “Publix Food Store” which now number more than 1,100.
