Four of the top leaders at Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital have resigned including President, Vice Dean and Physician-in-Chief Dr. Jonathan Ellen. They stepped down after a Tampa Bay Times report on deaths and other serious issues in the the cardiovascular surgery division. The board is conducting a comprehensive external review of the division.
The Tampa Bay Rays deal for a move to Ybor City is dead. Rays President Matt Silverman said they ran out of time to make the deal. It now appears the Rays will stay at the Trop until their lease ends in 2027.
