Bucs Back On Monday Night Football

The Bucs will play tonight in Monday Night Football despite some New York Giants testing positive for COVID-19. Kickoff is just after 8 pm at Met Life Stadium. The Tampa Bay Rowdies however had to completely cancel the USL Championship Final Sunday night when a number of the Rowdies tested positive. That game will not be rescheduled.

When the polls open tomorrow morning, a record number of ballots will have already been cast in early voting. Sixteen-year-old Rachel Herring died Saturday night when a boat she was in with six other teens crashed into a channel marker and the were all thrown into the water. Police believe she drowned, while the others made it back to shore. The group had been at a Treasure Island house party where the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department said there was evidence of underage drinking and drug use. The sixteen-year-old boy who was driving the boat is being charged with vessel homicide.

It will most likely not be a full house for Tampa’s 2021 Super Bowl. Raymond James Stadium can hold 65,890 fans but most stadiums have stayed at 20% capacity during the pandemic. The NFL has not made a firm decision on crowd capacity for the big game in Tampa yet but would like to see around 20,00 fans on February 7th.
