The Pasco County Sheriff’s office is warning residents about a scam involving Duke Energy. People are reportedly getting calls from someone who says they’re with Duke Energy and telling them to go to the store to buy prepaid cards to pay their bills and wait for a phone call from “Mr. Robinson.” They ask for the numbers on the back of those cards and yes, you lose the money. The PCSO would like to hear from you if you’ve been a victim of the scam.
It’s going to be a little noisier in South Tampa starting today. The 163rd Fighter Squadron, 122nd Fighter Wing of the Indiana Air National Guard has deployment exercises at MacDill for the next two weeks.
Red tide cleanup is officially over in Pinellas County. The latest report from the FWC shows what’s left of the bloom at very low levels and moving to the south. There’s still some fish washing onshore in Sarasota County.
