The Florida State Fair opens Thursday at the State Fairgrounds in Tampa off I-4.  Opening Day is designated as Heroes Day for active and retired military/veterans/police/firefighters/first responders. They get in free with ID. and can bring up to 3 family members.

Reports of flu cases in Florida are still strong according to the Florida Department of Health's weekly flu review. They encourage you to get a flu shot if you've put it off. Here's where you can get one.

The American Lung Association released their annual State of Tobacco Control report last week, and Florida received a grade of "F". A lot of teens using e-cigarettes contributed to that grade. There are five factors that are weighed in grading and Florida had a failing grade in four out of five. You can see the full report here.
