It’s going to be a cooler weekend and a fantastic chance to get outside and enjoy so much of what’s good in Tampa Bay!
Grab the bike, your helmet and head out for a ride on the Pinellas Trail to take a look the new murals that are being added thanks to the Creative Pinellas Trail Mural Project. Click on that link to take a look and the map of where the murals are, and where more will be added soon. Local artists are the focus with the works of Yhali Ilan, Daniel Barojas, Taylor Smith and Ricardo Delgado ready to enjoy in Palm Harbor and in Tarpon Springs. Pinellas Trails Artwork is getting rid of ugly graffiti and adding beauty to the trail through a collaboration between Creative Pinellas and Pinellas County Public Works, so it’s not just downtown St Petersburg that has murals to enjoy!
BUNGALOWFEST: The Special Gardens and Art Edition at in Seminole Park, Historic Kenwood is ready for the weekend as well. This is the 23rd year for BUNGALOWFEST with the twist this year of adding special outdoor spaces to enjoy as you walk through Kenwood along with artwork from members of the Artist Enclave of Historic Kenwood. Since we’re getting so close to the holidays it’s also the perfect time to support local and small businesses since some of those homes are now also working businesses. You can get your tickets online for $20, or buy them Saturday for $25. But don’t wait, if it’s a sell-out you may have to wait until next year.
The Tampa Riverwalk will be home to the International Fall Food and Arts Festival Saturday and Sunday. The Riverwalk is also a great place to explore along the Hillsborough River with good food, great art and yet another chance to support local artists. Here’s what you need to know if you’re heading down, and more on upcoming markets and festivals.
Visit Tampa Bay is a great resource for more going on both sides of the Bay, and if you follow I Love The Burg on Facebook you’ll always know what’s going on in St Pete. Get outside and enjoy all of What’s Good in Tampa Bay, and listen for more me every morning at 610 am and 820 am.
