I’m such a lover of day-tripping. Those are such fun Ann-Ventures. Out the door with the sunrise, and home with a signature Florida sunset. That’s why a trip down to Naples, Marco Island and Ft. Myers is so much fun. The Paradise Coast is known for many things and now that fun comes with the added assurance of the Paradise Pledge. Of course all the restaurants, hotels and businesses are following all the recommended CDC guidelines but the Pledge takes it one step further to ensure a stress-free visit. And that’s all I wanted - and found.
I spent a very nice afternoon in Naples, and found myself down on the City Dock with a gorgeous view of that sparkling water. Right next to that lovely boardwalk, restaurants with fresh seafood and an equally nice view. By this time I’m sure you’re tired of all that quality time in the kitchen so this is where even the most avid cook will find a little quality time to relish and indulge.
You do have to love a beach that’s uncrowded, and I loved the pristine, natural surroundings. When I need a break I lose myself in parks, trails, anyplace that takes me away from reality for a while. That will always be waiting later! Naples and Marco Island have 30 miles of that sandy white beach you love so much without all those crowds. It’s a nice little “glad to see you” kind of invitation we all appreciate. Oh, and don’t forget the Everglades. I have this strong desire to finally take a guided tour instead of just driving through. Can you just imagine the thrill of an airboat ride!
I’ve been ready to travel safely again for quite some time, so stepping out and traveling down to the Paradise Coast was a wonderful way to begin. And a place to plan another weekend getaway to soon. I know you’ll enjoy the trip as much as I did.
