Hard, cold truth. I’ll never lose my sweet tooth. I swear, it’s genetic! But all those calories just won’t help me keep off the Quarantine 15. I used to buy these protein bites that were the perfect little snacks but I wasn’t too thrilled about the price. So i took a look around and found a number of recipes for protein bites that I’m giving a try this weekend. They store very well in the freezer so I’m trying a few different ones so I don’t get bored of the same old thing. Now that’s a great way to wreck a diet.
So in my search the perfect little something to go along with a little light latte, I'm also going to use dates as the sweetener instead of honey or maple syrup. Great for the fiber and sweetness....and they were on sale! The Almond Joy Protein Bites are high in protein, vegan and gluten free. The second recipe is for Coconut Protein Bites. The food processor is about to get a workout.
