All week long at 8:10, I’ll tell you What’s Good In Tampa Bay with a look at some of the many light displays that are ready for your viewing pleasure across Tampa Bay with an new display location every day. Let’s get this sleigh ride underway!

THE LIGHTS OF LAKE PARK TO BENEFIT SUNCOAST HOSPICE/EMPATH HEALTH

To enjoy the display that has been a part of Bay area Christmas traditions since 1993 there are some restrictions to keep in mind when you visit. But it’s an enjoyable ride with beautiful views of the lights. There will not be the usual handouts of candy canes or doggie treats to keep visitors safe and practice social distancing. Even though you must stay in the car, volunteers ask that everyone wear a face covering and keep those hands clean. You can visit every night through December 31st from 6-10 pm at five separate areas with a map to help you here. Donations will be gratefully accepted at the Suncoast Hospice cart along the way, which have totaled over $973,00 since they began the annual event. Thank you for your generosity and enjoy.

THE SHOPS OF WIREGRASS

This is a beautiful show I’m been at once or twice with some of my favorite music. The holiday light show at The Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel is back with nightly shows set to music from Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The kids will love the nightly “snowfall” during the Symphony in Lights. It’s free to attend and runs 6-9 p.m. every night through Dec. 31. We’ll tell you all about it here.

THE OAKDALE CHRISTMAS HOUSE

On the St Petersburg side, a traditional favorite is the Oakdale Christmas House. So many grew up over the 40 years since the display first began, visiting the amazing display of more than half a million lights and plenty of displays all over the property. Add to that the projection shows, the animated holiday characters that every child loves and dozens of Christmas trees it’s a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday. And guess what? It’s another free one but it’s nice to make a donations to keep the tradition alive. The address for the Oakdale Christmas House is 2719 Oakdale St in St Pete. TAMPA’S RIVER OF LIGHTS - PIRATE WATER TAXI

Hop on board Tampa’s Pirate Water Taxi and enjoy the Christmas lights from the Hillsborough River. Chances are you’ll be visited by a pirate elf, catch a few snowflakes and of course since lots of Christmas songs. Don’t forget to bring along that letter to Santa - he has his own floating mailbox! ST PETERSBURG WATERFRONT DISPLAY

It’s the perfect chance to take a walk along the waterfront in downtown St Petersburg and get in a few extra steps with decorations in North and South Straub Park, Vinoy Park and finally at the new St Pete Pier, all lit up for the holidays! You’ll have plenty of time to head down with the displays in place all the way through January 3rd. The displays are up every night so grab a cup of something warm along Beach Drive, get out the camera/phone and create some new memories that will last for years to come.
