You might have heard my podcast episode with the delightful Carrie Underwood recently, where we talked about her amazing first Christmas CD, “My Gift”. It is no secret how much I love Broadway, and one of my favorite performers has always been Idina Menzel. Lady A: “On This Winter’s Night” (Deluxe) CD

One of my favorite groups, Lady A, is releasing “On This Winter’s Night” (Deluxe) this year. It’s a wonderful album that the group has updated with new songs, and comes just in time to help celebrate the holidays and I’m tucking it into the mix of prizes!

You’ll hear their version of Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime”, with an added a bit of country charm. They’ve taken the Beach Boys “Little Saint Nick” and made it their own too. “On This Winter’s Night” also features, an original song titled “Christmas Through Your Eyes,” which the group wrote about the experience of watching their own children enjoy the magic of Christmas. (When the original LP came out, none of the group had children of their own.)

Paul McCartney: “McCartney III” CD

And speaking of Sir Paul McCartney... I am so excited to welcome him to my 12 Stockings of Christmas Sweepstakes! “McCartney III” will be one of the gifts I add to the pile this year. Of course the collection is filled with his amazing vocals, but he’s also written all the songs, AND produced the album, that’s what we call a triple threat!

Sir Paul hadn’t planned to release an album in 2020, but in the isolation of “Rockdown”, he soon found himself fleshing out some existing musical sketches, creating even more new ones, and quite literally making this amazing solo album.”McCartney III” will be available on December 18th.
