Take it from me. There is nothing cooler than setting a world record! I've been a part of one once, and I'm ready to help Southeastern Guide Dogs do it as part of the upcoming Walkathon in beautiful Vinoy Park in downtown St Petersburg. But we need a lot of you to help us set the record. All you need to do is join us along with your best furry friend Saturday, February 23rd. SE Guide Dogs wants to set a record for the most dogs wearing a bandana and they'll have a free bandana for every pup participating. You just have to show up - and we'd love it if you could do a little fundraising as well. Raising a dog from puppyhood to guide dog is not an inexpensive endeavor so we really need your help. The wonderful news is when a dog is matched with his new owner, it's at no charge to that person!
The St Pete Walkathon is the first of five this year but it's the only one that might set a world record! Hear more from Taylor Dechen, the Associate Director of Philanthropy for SE Guide Dogs and I'll see you soon! There's more online from WDUV and me, Ann Kelly!
