Get On Board!

I grew up riding the bus to and from high school. I always seemed to get the friendliest drivers and nicest people to talk with. But when the pandemic hit it all changed in Pinellas County. That meant making adjustments for Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority. PSTA went fare-free to keep it less crowded and to follow social distancing rules. The drivers wear a mask and have their plastic shields for extra protection and passengers wear them as well.

Now some of our restrictions have been lifted but I’ve also noticed not everyone is quick to increase capacity in the name of public safety. That’s what Brad Miller, CEO of the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority and I talked about this week. Brad has put the safety of his employees and riders a top priority so they are keeping restrictions in place that include entering from the back of the bus, face coverings and social distancing face coverings and social distancing..

If you’re ready to jump on the bus and need a little more info visit PSTA here. They welcome your comments at cserv@psta.net and your phone calls on the PSTA InfoLine (727) 540-1900. It’s another local business we want to support!
