Free Shuttle Service For Rays Games

It’s on! The Rays and the Red Sox start the ALDS Playoff series at Tropicana Field. The Rays will play the Boston Red Sox, who beat the Yankees Tuesday night in the Wild Card game, 6-2. Game one of the best of five ALDS playoffs start tomorrow night at Tropicana Field at 8:07 pm. Game two will also be at the Trop Friday night at 7:02 Friday. Games three and four are scheduled for Boston Sunday at 4:07 pm and if necessary, game four Monday. Since the Rays have home-field advantage and we need a game five, that’s scheduled for the Trop Wednesday, October 13th.

Now about that free ride, thanks to the city of St Petersburg. You can ride the bus, mini-busses and trolleys for free starting two and a half hours before each game, and you’ll only have to wait about five minutes for a ride. The service stops are between 2nd St. S. between Central Ave. and 1st Ave. S, and 16th St. just south of 3rd Ave. S. Service will end one hour after the game.

If you do choose to drive, watch for the overflow parking, also with a free shuttle at the Sundial and South Core garages with pickup/drop off at the SE corner of Central Ave. and 2nd St.
