Another reason to celebrate the Lightning moving on to the Stanley Cup Finals, new restaurants open and more to kick off the week in Ann Kelly’s Kitchen.

First up. a spectacular blue salute to our Tampa Bay Lightning, now headed to their third Stanley Cup final in a row! Goody Goody burgers in Hyde Park has brought back their “ThunderShake.” Goody Goody says the last time it was on the menu, it was good luck for the team, as the Bolts brought home a Stanley Cup win. How long will it be on the menu? To quote Michael Kilgore, Former Chief Marketing Officer at Columbia Restaurant Group, “Until the end of our playoffs or — we hope — until we can drink it from the Cup”

The newest addition to Midtown in Tampa. Walk-On’s Sports Bistro will finally take down the “coming soon” sign” and welcome fans to their opening day Monday, June 20th. To celebrate, if you’re one of the first 100 guests, you could win Walk-On’s for a year and get a $10 gift card and complimentary beverage card for your next visit. The winners will be announced on their Facebook page, so here come the likes!

Gulfport has a new restaurant with a familiar name. Pop Goes The Waffle started its culinary life as a pop-up, then a food truck, and now has a permanent home at 5005 Tangerine Ave. South in Gulfport. You can even have your order shipped nationwide, and are open Thursday through Sunday from 7 am to 1 pm. Follow them on Facebook to keep up on daily specials and more.

Have you been cutting back on dining out? A lot of us have, our have made sure to choose our spots carefully. There’s one restaurant in Apopka that gets it, and wants to help their loyal customers out. Steve White, owns Porkie’s Original BBQ and has actually lowered some of his menu item prices and he’s getting a lot of attention for it. Check out his Facebook page and if you’re in the area, show this local Central Florida business some love.

Now here’s a word I’m not too fond of - “shrinkflation.” What’s that all about? It means paying more and getting less. We have a few examples for you here, but if you read and compare carefully, you’ll notice fewer tissues in the box from Kleenex, less wings for the same price and that box of cereal with less inside.
