Someone made the comment to me earlier this week that we’ve had so many recalls, they’re barely paring attention to them. But that could be a big mistake, especially when it involves children and babies. Two different batches Enfamil plant-based formula are under recall for cross-contamination for Cronobacter sakazakii. This is the same bacteria that sparked the voluntary shutdown of an Abbott formula plant.
So how do you know if you have some? It’s the Enfamil ProSobee Simply Plant-Based Infant Formula is packaged in 12.9 oz containers and was manufactured between August 2022 and September 2022 with batch codes ZLZHZF and ZLZHZZ both with a UPC Code of 300871214415 and a “Use By Date” of “1 Mar 2024.
Take a look at the FDA web site for more info (and that’s a good idea anytime) and pass this along to friends who may also use this particular brand. Better safe than sorry in Ann Kelly’s Kitchen, right?
