It’s So Easy Being Green

I had the best of intentions Sunday morning - get out early enough before the humidity would knock me over. Not so simple as you can guess from the weather. Stopped at Brooker Creek Preserve and found most of the trails closed due to “hazardous conditions.” That usually means flooded out. At least the boardwalk was open but even that had a lot of high water. Green, definitely green everywhere you looked! No sign of the usual residents of snakes and gators or the occasional otter. But then there was this off to the side hanging between two trees. Sorry if it’s a bit fuzzy but that’s a close as I was getting to this rather large spider. Not sure of what kind if was but I have to say it was kind of impressive. Highlight of the walk!

I’ve already tagged the Nature Center which is still closed due to COVID-19 but they have a great online presence. I’m sure they’ll let me know but for now I might have to stick to the boardwalks and off the muddy trails. If you’ve found somewhere I should check out just tag me and let me know where to head this weekend, We may be in Phase Two restrictions, but with Ann-Ventures have mask will travel!
