Mask rules are loosening. Theme parks are increasing capacity. And Publix is bringing back the free cookies!

Now that’s a good sign for the new normal. What harried parent hasn’t headed straight to the Publix bakery with a slightly fussy child who wants just one thing. That free cookie. When the pandemic shut that freebie down, it was buy a cookie and hope for the best.

But Publix just announced they were bringing that sweet tradition back that went on hold back in March of 2020. Rest easy everyone, it’s just another sign of a little bit of normal. And we’ll take it.
