While I'm being proactive, losing weight and not adding another Quarantine 15, Chef Art Smith has not only shed 15 pounds - try 70! He's had a little help along with the way with a friend who's also a trainer. When you're both stuck in quarantine why not go with the flow and get in a workout? Art's done so well he get's a lot of that "how did you DO that?" Deservedly so.
When you're a James Beard award winning chef - not once, but twice - and you own a restaurant with all that glorious Southern fare at Disney Springs weight loss can be tough. I think of what's on the menu at Art Smith's Homecomin' and I feel like I've already gained a little weight. It's definitely soul-soothing comfort fare like the Church Lady Deviled Eggs and the Fried Chicken Sandwich. Don't get me started on the Hummingbird Cake! But you'll also find Art's expertise on the menu at Splitsville Southern + Social Menu in Tampa. Tell me you won't take just one bite of the Doughnuts Three Ways inspired by Southern brunches: Sugared, Bacon Pecan, and festive Sprinkles or the Hot Honey Chicken Biscuits, fried chicken thighs tossed in hot honey sauce and served with house-made pickles. Just one? Good luck with that.
Now, that picture up top? That’s Art now. Now look at Art here before his impressive weight loss and tell me he doesn’t much healthier now!
