KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - NATO says three service members have died in a northern Afghanistan bombing but it isn't giving details. Associated Press video from the scene of a suicide attack in the capital of northern Faryab province shows what appear to be dead Afghan police, civilians and foreign troops at the explosion site. Afghan officials say 10 people are dead.

 

     NEW YORK (AP) - The cause of a deadly crane collapse in New York City is under investigation. Officials say the crane came off its base and crashed to the ground at a subway construction site in Manhattan, killing one worker and injuring four others.

 

 

     RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia is looking to limit damages from a jury award in the Virginia Tech shootings. The state is asking a judge to abide by a $100,000 cap on damages in a wrongful death lawsuit brought by the parents of two Virginia Tech students who were among 33 killed during a rampage on the Blacksburg campus nearly five years ago. Attorneys for the parents have asked the court to award each family $2 million.

 

     MILWAUKEE (AP) - Mitt Romney is hitting the trail today fresh from a clean sweep of Tuesday primaries in Wisconsin, Maryland and the District of Columbia. He'll speak to the same group of newspaper executives who heard President Barack Obama yesterday.

 

     BAKU, Azerbaijan (AP) - Russia's foreign minister is again warning that giving arms to the Syrian opposition will only make things worse. Speaking on a trip to Azerbaijan, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said the Syrian opposition wouldn't be able to overwhelm government forces even if it were supplied with weapons from abroad.

 

LARGO, Fla. (AP) - A car crashed into a dump truck and sent two men to the hospital, including a man whose brother suffered severe brain damage in 2007 while riding in a car with Nick Bollea, son of wrestling star Hulk Hogan.    Tuesday's crash happened in Largo. Graziano, 23, was a passenger in a Volvo and a local hospital says he's in critical condition.   Michael's brother John suffered a broken skull in 2007 when 17-year-old Nick Bollea lost control of his car in Clearwater. John Graziano remains in a minimally conscious state.

 

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - A state lawmaker says he can't wait for Gov. Rick Scott so he's appointing his own task force on the Florida statute commonly called the "stand your ground" law. Sen. Chris Smith says his panel will include prosecutors, public defenders and legal scholars. Scott has announced plans for a task force.

 

     TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - The Florida Supreme Court is hearing an appeal from a serial killer, who is set for execution next week. Lawyers for 58-year-old David Gore plan to ask the justices to block the April 12 execution during oral argument Wednesday. Gore was sentenced to die for the 1984 murder of 17-year-old Lynn Elliott.
