Simply Sunday in Kelly’s Kitchen is made for long, lazy brunches and a little exploring and adventure after that. My thanks to Jo Uber, who’s recommendation for a visit to Dade City is a real winner. Dade City is very well known for the Kumquat Festival which happens to be this weekend (Saturday) but it’s also known for some great dining spots.  Jo said I need to check out the City Market Bistro on 8^th Street.  It’s especially timely for this weekend filled with pirates, with the Pirates Feast that includes a nicely traditional selection of eggs, choice of ham, sausage, French toast, pancakes and more.  The Fried Chicken and Waffles also looks enticing! You can build your own omelet and the kids have their own menu. And how can you not fall in love with beverage selections like freshly squeezed orange juice, or your choice of warm or cold apple cider?

   Sunday Brunch at City Market Bistro runs from 10 am to 2 pm. Mimi Lawson, who takes care of our traffic troubles each day knows Dade City well, so my next trip will be with her and a few other friends to spend the day. Brunch and a stroll through all those great antique shops to shake off a few calories sounds good to me, especially before we start to heat up again! Dade City is an easy trip up 75; just look for those signs to CR 578.
