Of course it’s a “big” weekend. Football fanatics will be firing up the grill and their emotions. No matter who you root for, it’s so all about the food. I read an article last week talking about a possible shortage of chicken wings – oh, the horror!  But if you’re more in the mood to watch all the pregame festivities instead of stand in front of a hot grill, check this out from buzzfeed.com. Slow cooker snacks rule. You can also find some nice recipes, like one from Beyoncé in the previous post from the Loukoumi Celebrity Cookbook.

    But even if you’re not a huge sports fan, you have to love Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet. From humble beginnings this has turned into a must-see on Super Bowl Sunday, and don’t worry, it’s replayed endlessly. It’s also a good reminder how many pets are in need of good homes. Please take a moment this weekend and check our featured Pet of the Week!
