Not like we actually need a reason to take ourselves out to dinner, but what if that meal could help end childhood hunger? This is National Dine Out Week, and by visiting your favorite participating restaurant, you can with Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign. This week thousands of restaurants nationwide will join in the fight, and we were reminded of one Bay area’s participation with a visit last week. Thanks to Macaroni Grill, who is a nationally featured restaurant partner, for dropping by last week with some extremely tasty treats for the staff here. Kelly’s Kitchen especially enjoyed the Mac and Cheese Bites with Truffle Dip, Ricotta Meatballs and the Homemade Chocolate Cake with whipped cream. Not a bad 11 am meal!

So how do you help? When you drop by donate $2 towards the No Kid Hungry campaign, and you’ll receive $5 off your next visit; share your fun dining experience photo on Facebook and that will earn one kid a meal, tag an Instagram photo or tweet your photo to #macgrillgive, and for every tag one less child has a nourishing meal.
