I think after this past week, we deserve a double-scoop of weekend. But hey, that’s just me. Debbie is now thankfully history, and so many of you will be spending time cleaning up, helping out the neighbors and trying to get your life back on track. Why not take a few minutes for yourself on Sunday, and spent it at the Hyde Park Fresh Market, the official sponsor of Kelly’s Kitchen. The Fresh Market is always the first Sunday of the month, and now that we’re heading into the 4^th of July holiday week this is a great way to kick it off.

   Fresh produce, creative arts and crafts vendors, face painting and delicious food under the trees in Snow Circle in Old Hyde Park Village is a wonderful start to a Sunday. Of course, when the stores open, another great excuse to shop. But it’s the food I live for; I’ve indulged in mouth-watering Belgium Waffles, brought home some of the most delectable olive oil and soothing teas. All while getting in a little exercise. The pet friendly atmosphere of Old Hyde Park is such an added plus.

   The Fresh Market is open 10 am – 3 pm, and admission and parking are always free. If you happen to come down send us your photos so we can share them around the table with everyone in Kelly’s Kitchen. There’s always room for one more!
