It’s Father’s Day weekend in Kelly’s Kitchen, and there’s no shortage of ways to please Dad’s palate, Start with a hot dog and a cold brew at The Trop as the Rays take on Miami this weekend. Of course, if there’s something else he craves, the concessions at the Trop have everything from Cubans to pizza, even gluten free food! The restaurants are sure to be extra busy, so if you’re thinking about stopping in at the Brewhouse or Everglades BBQ Smokehouse, get their early.

   If Dad is a food truck kind of guy, check out the Tarpon Springs Food Truck Rally Saturday from 4-8 pm. Who’s going to be there with some fine food on wheels? Stay up to date with Tasting Tampa, and be sure to like them on Facebook as well for the latest.

   Feel like getting squishy with it, the Grape Stomping Festival in Bradenton might work for you. Starts at 9 am Saturday at Rosa Fiorelli Winery at 4250 CR 675, Bradenton FL 34211. It’s free to come in; you’ll pay for food and drinks of course. It’s a nice chance to help the Red Cross with a portion of sales going to them.

   Start Father’s Day at the Corey Ave Fresh Market, opening at 9 am Sunday in St Pete Beach. Look for everyone in front of the Beach Theater, and then take a stroll on the beach with Dad.

   The Florida State Fairgrounds will also host a Restaurant and Food Show  Saturday and Sunday that begins at 10 am with a $12 entry fee for adults, $10 for children.

   Or just do this…let Dad chill in the recliner with the game on, you fire up the grill and ask what he’d like. Happy Father’s Day!
