So, according to the Mayans, our last day on earth is this Friday the 21^st. The question of the moment then in Kelly’s Kitchen, what would do for a final, fantastic meal? I’ve read a lot of articles that seem to lean toward one of two things; familiar comfort foods or the most outrageous meal you could imagine. I think I’d go for a combination of the two. Why not, who’s going to complain?

   My last meal? Hmm, I’d have start with the most beautiful cut of steak, medium rare with roasted vegetables, perhaps a scoop of the type of mashed potato loaded with sour cream and butter and the kind of biscuits that are so light, yet so buttery that you want to steal the whole bread basket for yourself. A very fine wine, and who cares what the vintage is. It’s not getting any older. Then perhaps the Crème Brulee from Ocean Prime, a chocolate dipped strawberry and just a sip of champagne. Okay, I’m happy now. But whatever is on the table, around it has to be my family and friends.

   Of course, if you can manage to grab a quick flight, check out some of these recommendations from Victoria Taylor for Fox News. It’s everything from the finest  foie gras to great steaks and more and where to find them. Sorry Weight Watchers. We’re not counting points on this one.
