People just fascinate me. Especially people who have overcome some interesting odds and are still standing, still successful, still driven. I think that describes Tampa Bay’s Tony Little fairly well. Tony stopped in to Kelly’s Kitchen and we had fun with the person they call “Tampa’s $3 Billion Man.” Gee, I’d work for half of that. Tony is also the host of Bright House Networks’ television series, “YOU on Demand,” showcasing videos shot by viewers featuring hilarious footage, pets and creative productions. Great chance to see yourself on TV!
But back to those odds. When you begin life as a graduate of Dixie Hollins High School and go on to win the Mr. St Petersburg bodybuilding championship, among other numerous titles that’s the good part of life. The rough part is the injuries; back and neck injuries in a car wreck that pretty much put a stop to the bodybuilding career, and yet another serious accident some years later that resulted in 200 stiches in his face. But here’s where the driven part comes in. Despite those setbacks, Tony’s career is going full speed ahead, and he's been seen on HSN, QVC, a spot for Geico, and now with Bright House., has to be one of America's most most well known pitchmen. When we did our own little cookout here, it was all about the Body By Bison products. It’s always easy to get the staff into our beautiful performance theater when the aroma of burgers and dogs waft through here, all low in fat, high in protein and delicious. Nice breakfast, right? But there’s a nice selection of the Body By Bison products on his site, and I’m going to use the bacon for some cupcakes that I found in The Butch Bakery Cookbook that you have a chance to win all week in our At Work Prize Pack!
And okay. Yes. The hair is real. And I like it. I did not tug on his ponytail as much as I wanted to. So very tempting! But Tony looked good, and when you’re also considered America’s Personal Trainer, let’s face it. The heat it on to maintain that look. What I really loved is that Tony’s hometown isn’t too far from where I went to college in Bowling Green, Ohio. He’s a Fremont boy, who loves to collect antique and classic cars…and I’m still waiting for a ride, Tony.
So get to know Tony yourself and see that “You Can Do It” too in Kelly’s Kitchen with Tony and Ann. See what we were up to, and check in with tony on Tampa Bay On Demand, Channel 340 and keep those videos coming.
You also still can win your own copy of The Butch Bakery Cookbook from Kelly's Kitchen as part of our At Work Prize Pack this week. Tune in just after 2 for your chance to win!
