From Chic to Greek

Friendship and wine
I've had this around a bottle of champagne for a while, and it's one of my favorite things to look at and remember when friends are in the house.

I'm sure some little girl loved this once upon a time; a great find that I've turned into a little entertainment center for parties. The wine racks fit right in, the other adult libations are below, and there's room for some nice little antique and vintage pieces on top.

Just a few of my favorite things; Reverware bowls from my parents, an antique syrup server, and a sweet little silverplate dish for nuts, candies, whatever you wish. And you know me, I always love candles.

Came up with a neat little idea for Kelly’s Kitchen the other day. In the midst of trying to decide what to keep, what to trash, and what to donate in the aftermath of the excellent work done on Kelly’s Kitchen by Floor and Décor, I came up with this. I think you’ve seen some shots of this little hutch that I found a few years ago, and have used half as a wine rack, half to hide dish cloths. I’ve taken it to another level, and it will work great for all those parties I’m ready to throw! I’ve kept the wine rack, but expanded that, added a few bar and vintage items on top, Below a few more accessories and some select adult beverages, the rest of which are neatly tucked into the pantry…which will also get an overhaul soon. This works very well since it faces into the family room and is easy to access. The mosaic across the top was just a fun little project to dress it up. Love to do those!

Have you come up with any cool little projects to bring your personal touch into the kitchen? Send those and help tweak our creativity in Kelly’s Kitchen. We'd like to see  the videos, pictures and personal descriptions of what you’ve done.  I’d love advice on better ways to store things, and the top three received by the end of the week will receive a special thank you from me. It’s a never ending labor of love, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. You and I think the same way; let’s use what we have and enjoy all those very special personal touches. Send those to me in Kelly’s Kitchen at ann.kelly@coxmg.com, and we’ll share them with everyone.
