You know what’s fun. Having your stove in your family room. Yes, the games have begun in Kelly’s Kitchen with Floor and Decor! Tim, Scott and Gary from Ceramic Creations, Inc. started cleaning things out Monday morning, and that meant moving a few things first. Like the stove. And sliding the fridge aside. And finally, finally, finally ripping up that old, nasty linoleum. Which would not go quietly into that good night. Boy, am I glad I decided that was not a job I wanted to take on by myself. They really earned their paychecks tearing it out, and soaking off that bottom layer. Even the squirrels in the front yard disappeared in a hurry! So that was our first piece of business. Next, let’s get ride of the old backsplash and really stir things up. But the good news there was the tiles came out with little trouble. Just a whole lotta noise!

   Paul was next in the house to measure for the granite counter. Let’s see, the order of business is floor, counter, then backsplash. But of course when you start one project you always think of another one, and I think we're going to take the tile from the kitchen and just continue with it into the family room. Eileen came up with a very nice edge trim that give is such a beautiful, finshed look. And when that's done...then I think the guys will be heading for the beach at sunset with some ice cold beverages they’ve more than earned. Even for a do-it-yourselfer, it’s work, and that’s the great thing about Floor and Decor. You can pick out everything you need from first quality tile, wood and stone and take care of the job yourself, or do like I have and let the pros take the lead!
