In a little more than a month’s time on October 22^nd, thousands of women and men in Tampa Bay will once again get up very early on a Saturday morning, and join the fight against breast cancer...and this year, there’s a new twist. It’s Ann Kelly, and for the many years I’ve been privileged to walk with you, the outfit will be slightly different for this year’s walk. The Pink Ribbons will still be there, but this year, the Florida Division of the American Cancer Society is launching the "Put On Your Pink Bra" campaign! Oh yes, it’s an attention getter, but that’s our point. We need you to remember how vital your support is to raising the money needed to fund research, support patient services, and as we’re so fond of saying, creating more birthdays.

We need you. We need to you get a team together, create those pink bras we’ll all be wearing Saturday, October 22^nd, and ask your co-workers, friends, neighbors and everyone you know to donate to Making Strides. I met with the Ybor City Striders for a team meeting last week at The Laughing Cat (great pasta!). That's Nataly and I at the Centre Club, at last month's kickoff.  Nataly and Dan Balk own the Singing Stone Gallery and have generously created a beautiful piece of jewelry they have donated to raise money; please visit their  Ybor City Striders Facebook Page  to learn more and sign up. On Thursday, Sept. 15^th, Nataly will host a bra decorating party - bedazzlers, glue guns, rhinestones and whatever else we can come up with! No need to go home after work if you’re near downtown Tampa; come down to the gallery and join in the fun!
