Gourmet food trucks just rock…and now thanks to Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn, we’ll enjoy a monthly event with the Mayor’s Food Truck Fiesta!  Ann Kelly, definitely planning to check out at least a few of those and report back to you in Kelly’s Kitchen. But I just love the quote from Mayor Bob in the St. Pete Times – “It’s good to be the Mayor because you can make things happen in your city.” Couldn’t agree more! If you had a chance to check out the first food truck rally a few weeks ago in Hyde Park, you know how much everyone enjoyed that. About 3,000 showed up at Hyde Park Presbyterian Church!

So why haven’t we seen one on the St Pete side of the Bay? It’s up for discussion with St Pete City Council, because at this point the city regs say food trucks are prohibited even on private property. Who knows when that will change, could be quite a while. But in the meantime take time to stop in and enjoy lunch at the Mayor’s Food Truck Fiesta in downtown Tampa at Franklin and Kennedy on Wednesday, November 2^nd from 11 am – 2 pm.
