Admit it. You do it. So does the person in the next cubicle in the office. You shop on Cyber Monday...at work. Oh, of course, it’s on your lunch hour! Me too.

So when exactly did we decide the Monday after Thanksgiving would be Cyber Monday? That goes back to 2008 thanks to Shop.org (who’d have guessed it?!) when they created their own site for it. I’d say we were all participating long before that! CareerBuilder says half the workers they surveyed admit they plan to spend at least part of the workday online shopping. The rest were lying. Okay, again, that’s just me. But will we beat last year’s record-setting shopping spree at the keyboard? The majority says they’ll spend an hour or more online getting the best deals they can, according to the same survey. That is one long lunch hour. There is one important consideration, wherever you send yourself in cyberspace. Watch out for scams. The Better Business Bureau released information on doing just that for Black Friday, but the advice it timeless. Check out business online for complaints, and of course, it it sounds too good to be true...

So what are you finding online? Share those sites with us so we can let all our foodie friends know where to scratch that gotta have it itch, And please let’s support our local businesses that are online and ready to serve our every need. Just Google away for your favorite shops, but keep an eye out for the boss. So, in Kelly’s Kitchen, I did a little work over the Thanksgiving weekend online myself to find some sites I thought you’d find as tasty as I did.

You can treat your favorite pet to some tasty treats with a purchase from The Animal Rescue Site, who partner up with PetFinder.com. But of course, please remember the work of our local rescue groups and shelters who also need your help - your gift of pet food, litter, and of course cash will help them survive the holidays and make it into the New Year and hopefully place many pets in what we love to call Forever Homes. Our featured pet of the week from the Hillsborough County Animal Services are on site each week, and in Pinellas County, the Suncoast Animal League would love to hear from you as well.

Check this out. You know of our love for cupcakes in Kelly’s Kitchen...how about one that comes dipped in chocolate, attached to a pretzel rod? PopsyCakes is one decadent little piece of cyberspace with flavors like Dark Chocolate Decadence, Vanilla Bean Dream and Red Velvet Rush. Can you imagine sending those to a fellow foodie?! I like the free shipping through December 31^st. Very cool company that actually was founded by a 16 year old girl by the name of Jessica, who is now an honors student at Miami Dade College! This Florida company that ships out of Deerfield Beach has a heart, supporting the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, donating 5% of their proceeds.

I did find one site that had me looking twice; here I thought I was looking at Christmas lights, and they were actually lollipops from Indiecandy.com. I like the fact they specialize in products are listed as all-natural and allergen free, so no one will feel left out of the treatfest. Nice selection as well, including those that are kosher, vegan and corn free.

And finally, from my all-time favorite magazine "Southern Living," I have my Ultimate Holiday Cookbook issue that is beyond delicious. Choosing one recipe out of the 128 listed is not easy, but they make taking it along on trips easy with it being accessible for your Ipad, NOOK Color and other Android tablets. Nice to take that along on the next flight to Cleveland along with other books all on one, convenient little electronic friend.
