And of course…it’s all about Gordon Ramsay as he takes the new season of MasterChef to the next level. Winning is no piece of cake and the competition is going to get messy. So what will I be up to? Well, I’m going to whip up a batch of one awesome chili recipe that I found on Sweetbay Supermarket’s web site. Click on the recipe link at www.sweetbaysupermarket.com and check out the Cowboy Beef and Black Bean Chili and try it yourself. I’ll have a full review next week! You know I just came back from vacation, and really needed a trip to Sweetbay to stock up. It didn't take long to fill my cart with the freshest, including a great buy on an Angus beef roast. Herman back in the meat department cut one for me to order, and had some great dinner suggestions ready to take home, like stuffed portobello mushrooms. And I found a great, easy meal solution thanks to the salad bar that had a nice Greek olive/feta cheese selection that I blended with veggie rotini pasta for a delicious and quick lunch. Oh, and the leftover roast slices weren’t a bad addition either! Here’s a suggestion for an easy meal this weekend, too; it’s a Barbeque Pulled Chicken that you make in the slow cooker that is so tasty, I doubt there will be leftovers. Click here for the recipe and have some on hand for the next family picnic; it freezes very well and when you pile on the slaw, it’s heaven on a bun! I also baked a loaf of the best pound cake I’ve ever tasted, and the recipe come courtesy of my coworker Lara’s Mom. I think we had a slice just about every meal; it’s fantastic if you toast it and top it with ice cream and strawberries. This also freezes very well. Here’s the recipe. I’m also going to try out a new Strawberry Pound Cake Recipe, since Val here in the office was nice enough to give me a big batch of berries; I’ll let you know how it turns out; how can anything with strawberries be bad? !Here's another recipe for Strawberry Rhubarb Cobbler that you will enjoy that Delilah shared from one of her listeners!
