We’re counting down the days in Kelly’s Kitchen...how many days left before the start of school, the days left in summer...and the final days of National Ice Cream Month. It’s Ann Kelly, and I’ve found a great way to make the best of our hot weather with some deliciously refreshing Blue Bell ice cream. I’ve sampled the latest flavor called Dessert Trio, and if you’d like to do the same, send that fantastic picture you have of the kids with their cones, most of which is probably dripping down their arms! Now, once you have your favorite Blue Bell ice cream, you can simply enjoy it in a dish or cone, or why not make a delicious ice cream sandwich? Just take two  of your favorite cookies, put a scoop of Blue Bell in the middle, and make sure you a few napkins handy!  Oh, and if you love those ice cream cakes, but not the price, just make your favorite boxed cake mix, slice those two layers in half  and freeze; then take your favorite flavor of Blue Bell ice cream that has been softened, and spread that between the layers, stacking as you go. Make it look even more spectacular with the new ready-made glazes you can find in the baking aisle. Impressive at a much lower cost, and I doubt you'll have any left over. I’ll also have some special recipes from Blue Bell this week.
