That first one was way too easy! But then again, who wants to challenge their poor little brains first thing on a Monday morning?! But congratulations to Tiffany Mansfield of Largo , who knew the scrambled word was “holly” 

   Something that came to mind for me this weekend. Please make sure with all the cooking and baking we’re doing, and probably rushing through a great deal of it, to check simple things like expiration dates. I had whipped up three beautiful Eggnog Pound cakes and never checked the date on the eggnog. One taste told me to throw them all away.  And it was totally my fault for putting off the baking, then not realizing exactly when I had purchased the ‘nog. How carefully do you pay attention to something like that? I've heard so many people say that such and such an item is just fine within a certain amount of time after the official expiration date, but I’m just not willing to take a chance. The thought of how much was wasted with those loaves hitting the garbage can just broke my heart, but I don’t think making the staff here sick is a very good idea.

   Any silly disasters in your kitchen over the holidays? Tell us all about so we can get a good giggle and realize we’re all just humans who make mistakes. But not at the expense of someone’s health, thanks!
