   For many people adapting gluten free diet is not a choice, it is a necessity. In Kelly’s Kitchen, I’ve talked with more and more of my readers that have asked for more gluten-free recipes and simple ones as well. That’s what Anne Bryn, best known as the Cake Mix Doctor had dedicated her latest book to. “Unbelievably Gluten Free” focuses on 128 recipes that would make your holiday meal much easier to create and be something for everyone to enjoy. It was on her tour for the book that Anne found such a strong response to her readers needing more in the gluten free cooking area, and that led to the creation of the new book. It was also a chance for Anne to educate those who came to the seminars to learn exactly what it is to cook gluten free.

   Anne herself is not gluten free, nor is her family but when it comes to testing this many recipes, guess who was her test panel?! Now that’s a tough crowd to please, but Anne found that they were beyond helpful and that proves the recipes can easily be incorporated into your regular dining routine without fuss. The beauty of Anne’s book is that they are simple recipes, which is what so many of you have asked for. For instance, we all love pasta and I found the most sensational artichoke flour pasta at Nature’s Food Patch in Clearwater, and you’d never guess that’s what it was made of. And a simple topping of a natural pasta sauce, which I also found at Nature’s made a great meal, with all of two ingredients. But there’s an unfortunate side note to all of this. Why does it seem when we go for the healthier ingredients such as gluten free items is seems to be so much more expensive? That was also a challenge for Anne to address.

   “Unbelievably Gluten Free” along with her companion book “Gluten Free Baking” are a solid addition to the Kelly’s Kitchen Collection and would be a much appreciated gift to someone in your life this Christmas.
