Don’t forget that in addition to sprinkling limits you can only wash your car once a week, and fountains can operate for no more than four hours a day.

Florida Attorney General Pam Biondi wants a Medical Examiner on site at the former Dozier  School for Boys in Marianna to find out exactly what happened to so many of the children they believe are buried on site. Her office filed a petition yesterday, and if a judge grants the order, the Medical Examiner will be able to exhume the bodies, work to identify them and determine how they died.

Over a thousand residents of Pinellas County were at the Trop yesterday to talk with city and county leaders and get answers to questions about jobs, education and housing. The meeting was put together by a grassroots organization known as FAST, Faith and Action for Strength Together. Right now about 70,000 are unemployed in Pinellas County.

Cardinals continue their work this morning to choose a new pope. Black smoke came out of the chimney yesterday after the first vote. They’ll be sequestered until white smoke is seen coming from the chimney signaling the election of a new pope.

Internet cafes run by Allied Veterans across the state were shut down yesterday by the Feds, and the head of the group was arrested. Jerry Bass was taken into custody in Jacksonville. Three of those cafes are in the Bay area.

Here’s just what you wanted to hear; the pollen is so bad this year that allergy season which normally would kick in around February actually got a head start in January, and with luck will be over soon. And if you’ve really been missing your Twinkies, they might be back this summer.  Hostess accepted an offer from Metropoulus and Company, and Allied Global Management to buy the brand. They had hoped for a big bidding war, which never happened.
