The TSA has changed the list of items we’ll be allowed to bring on board a plane starting next month, and not everyone is thrilled about it. That list will now include small knives, souvenir baseball bats and some sports equipment, like golf clubs. Unions that represent flight attendants and other airline employees think this will only lead to more problems on flights.

A Lakeland mom has turned herself into the police in North Carolina, after they say she sent a knife to her kids, telling them to kill their grandparents who have custody of the two girls. Leticia Silva is charged with four counts of solicitation to murder.

Clearwater City Council will put the question of a new aquarium in the voter’s hands in November. It was a unanimous vote for the issue to go on the ballot for a new home for the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. That project has a of $160 million price tag.

In Tallahassee, a Senate panel has unanimously approved a bill that would impose a statewide ban on texting while driving. That bill still needs approval by the House.

Better check ahead on flights up to the northeast; yesterday’s storm continues to make a mess. Virginia is under a state of emergency, almost a quarter million were without power, and at least four deaths are attributed to the weather.

It’s spring break and according to CoEd Magazine, the Bay area rates high on the list of trashiest places to celebrate.
