More than 15,000 people who signed a petition asking to give voters the final say on the future of the Pier suddenly found themselves listed on lawsuit against the city of St Pete. But an agreement between the city and attorney Kathleen Ford, who represents VoteOnThePier.com, has removed their names from the lawsuit. She still intends to file that complaint Friday.

The Mariners Point Apartments in St Pete was the scene of another shooting yesterday. An armed security guard was shot and killed there in 2011, and shortly after noon Tieyannie Dewitte Hollis was shot and is listed in critical condition at Bayfront Medical.

A 36 story high-rise is going up across from the Straz in downtown Tampa. Mayor Bob Buckhorn and the developer for the Skypoint and Elements Towers signed an agreement on the plan yesterday. The property between Cass and Tyler was sold for $4 million. The project is scheduled for completion in 2014 at a cost of $85 million.

A Town ‘n Country man has his beloved French bulldog back. Derek McComber was robbed of his pet at gunpoint over the weekend. Bueller was found about four miles from his home in the front yard of a man who was actually making posters to help find the stolen dog.

The python hunt is underway in the Everglades. Close to 1,000 hunters are registered for the hunt that ends at midnight, February 10th, with prize money for the top four hunters. As of yesterday eleven snakes had been killed and a few taken alive and transported to wildlife sanctuaries.

In his upcoming interview with Oprah, sources say Lance Armstrong will admit to performance-enhancing drugs to win the Tour de France. The interview will air Thursday on OWN.
