An argument over who agreed to fund road improvements around a shopping plaza in Tampa with Bass Pro Shops as the main store anchor will be discussed before the Hillsborough County Commission today. State law changed since they first talked about it, and now Bass Pro Shop will bring their case to the commission before this morning’s vote.

Busch Gardens is trying to help an injured Emu that wandered into a Tampa man’s yard after being attacked by stray dogs. They’re trying to stabilize the giant bird so it can be transferred to a rehab center or returned to its owner.

The Deepwater Horizon Oil rig explosion may have been three years ago, but more claims are being filed in the Bay area. Originally, officials at Tampa International Airport had asked for $1.7 million in a claim filed in August 2011. But last month they revised that filing to request $28 million. Other revised claims may be coming up thanks to revised guidelines.

In case you were wondering, the final count in the state’s first Everglades python hunt was 68. The longest caught came in at more than14 feet long. The Florida Hunter’s Python Team won the award for most caught at 18.

A Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office cattle dog remains missing and a $500 reward is being offered for information on Doc, who escaped from his special trailer Sunday as they were northbound on I-75 around the Fruitville exit in Sarasota County. "Doc," is a mixed breed cattle dog described as very friendly and weighs about 60 lbs and might have been picked up by a Tampa man. If you have any information on the location of "Doc" call Sgt.
