 There was some damage to the blueberry crops Sunday into that chilly Monday morning up in Brooksville. Fortunately most farmers say their crops came through the cold with minimal problem.

They’re still trying to figure out what triggered the fire at One Steel Recycling on Port Sutton Road off 41 at. Two workers did get out in time and no injuries have been reported.

The brush fire season is starting early; there were four around Tampa Bay yesterday alone. There have been over 400 statewide since the first of the year. Remember to obey burn bans and not toss lit cigarettes off to the side of the road.

A Buc is in trouble. Defensive end Da'Quan Bowers was arrested at LaGuardia Airport waiting to board a US Airways flight to Raleigh, N.C. A loaded .40-caliber weapon was found during a search of his carry-on bag.

A Pinellas County Sheriff’s Deputy with more than 20 years invested in his job has resigned. At a press conference, Sherriff Bob Gualtieri said former deputy Robert Johnson violated department policy many times, then lied to investigators, and had a problem with prostitutes.

A Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office cattle dog remains missing and a $500 reward is being offered for information on Doc, who escaped from his special trailer around 11 a.m. Sunday as they were northbound on I-75 around the Fruitville exit in Sarasota County. "Doc," is a mixed breed cattle dog described as very friendly and weighs about 60 lbs. If you have any information on the location of "Doc" call Sgt. Ron Cain at 813-426-7112.
