Yes, it was the coldest night of the year so far, and this morning we have a hard freeze warning for Citrus, Hernando, and Pasco counties; it’s a freeze warning until 9 am for Hillsborough, Polk, and Manatee.

A lot of smoke in the area due to a metal factory fire on Port Sutton Road off 41. Multiple units are on the scene, and no one is reported injured.

The St Pete Police Department was evacuated this morning when a smoking fan belt set off the fire alarm. Some minimal smoke damage was reported but they’re back to work.

Ft Myer’s native and country star Mindy McCready took her own life Sunday at her home in Arkansas. She leaves behind a 6 year old and 10 month old son.

Danica Patrick has made racing history again, by becoming the first woman to take the pole position for this weekend’s at Daytona 500. Jeff Gordon will be in the second position.

A Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office cattle dog is missing and a $500 reward is being offered for information on Doc, who escaped from his special trailer around 11 a.m. Sunday as they were northbound on I-75 around the Fruitville exit in Sarasota County. "Doc," is a mixed breed cattle dog described as very friendly and weighs about 60 lbs. If you have any information on the location of "Doc" call Sgt. Ron Cain at 813-426-7112.

There’s a boil water notice on the USF campus this morning, thanks to a sinkhole that opened up over the weekend. University of South Florida will update the notice when things change.
