In the President’s State of the Union address last night, President Obama asked Congress to support his plans for jobs creation and called for called for increased federal spending to fix the nation's roads and bridges, the first increase in the minimum wage in six years and expansion of early education.

Florida Senator Marco Rubio had the Republican response to the President, accusing him of the same partisan bickering he accused the Democrats of, and supported smaller government, lower taxes, less government regulation, and would like a solution to the immigration system

A fake cop is still getting drivers to pull over in Hernando County, the latest on Monday. Now police think more there’s more than one person doing it, and continue to warner drivers about unmarked white Crown Victoria, and that’s it’s perfectly fine to call 911 if you are pulled over and not sure about who’s doing it.

After a day long wait and firefight, police think the body they pulled from a burned out cabin at Big Bear Lake is that of accused killer and former cop Christopher Dorner. He’s believed to be responsible for the deaths of four people, including a sheriff’s deputy who died in the shootout.

Mardi Gras is over, today is Ash Wednesday and the start of the Lenten season. Dunedin had their 22nd annual bash last night with a good size crowd and no reported problems.

And the winner of Best in Show at the Westminster? It was five year old Banana Joe, an Affenpinscher who will now retire back in the Netherlands.
