St. Petersburg City Council said no thanks to a proposal that would let the Rays to pay a fee to look at other stadium sites. Mayor Bill Foster says he still wants to meet with the Rays, and they’re working on that.

A search warrant by St Pete Police turned up a lot of ammo and firearms at a business owned by, and the home of, Jason Thomas yesterday. One officer described the amount as enough to start a small war. They also found drugs. Thomas is a convicted felon and will face federal charges.

Universal Health Care has filed for bankruptcy. Right now they’re trying to stay open and work on the sale of UHC to a company controlled by Tampa cardiologist and WellCare Health Plans founder Kiran Patel.
